How can I fix my hotpoint first edition 1000 WMA9?

The machine was in mid cycle, when it tripped the mains power, and then stopped working, there is power, but everytime I try and put it on a wash the door locked light flashes, no matter whether we push the door it still flashes and so the washer won't start it's cycle

If it tripped the mains then chances are it has blown the door lock and most probably some tracks off the circuit board and blown the parts that operate the door lock. Unless you are qualified in electronics you will need a service engineer.
