Mend Nissan K11 Engine Repair Problem

Whats wrong with my car?

I have been driving my P reg Micra for nearly two years and other than the odd problem like all the others here it has been fine. Now though I have noticed when i press the accelarator it is making a strange sound. People who have been in the car, like friends etc have all said the engine is dying. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and if so could they possibly advise?

Perhaps you could explain further? The noise could simply be an air intake hose come adrift, but I'm not sure what you mean that the car is 'dying'? Is the engine making metallic clattering noises? Is it down on power? The Micra only really suffers from two major mechanical problems 1) Timing chain rattle - which is just like it sounds 2) Throttle body problems which give a poor tickover, stalling etc.
