Mend Ferroli F24 Boiler Central Heating Temperature Control

hot water problems with ferroli f24?

i have a ferroli f24 boiler central heating is fine but when hot water is turned on water gets really hot then boiler cuts out and water runs cold then boiler switches back on again and repeats same process. it does not seem to respond to the temperature control knob please help
