How do I override the switch to be able to cut in reverse on my Bolens 15.5 hp 38 inch cut mower?

Depending on what year yours is, turn the key counterclock wise but don't turn it off. Push the triangle button and a red light should come on. With this you can mow in reverse.

If you can find it then disconnect it to override....the switch is usually on the forward/reverse lever itself, unless its a hydrostatic drive where its near the gearbox.
