Tried that but when I took it off motor after getting all set to put back on the spring witch is underneath the housing
you put the cord sprang out all over the place thanks anyway guess ILL take it in and have it taken care of

Take the rewind off the engine, turn it over and you will see the end of the rope. pull it out. thread the new rope through the rope hole into the pulley. Tie a knot and burn the end so it can't splip through itself. there is a slot for the rope to fit into on the pulley and spin the pulley counter clockwise about 5 turns and let the rope wrap around the pulley. If it has enough tension you're done if not wrap it untill you have enough.
