I have a Gledhill boilermate 11 and on top of the main hot water tank is a smaller tank with a cold water feed and ball valve inside. Is this called a header tank or is it an expansion tank?
both are correct together, as this tank gives a head of pressure to the system, and also serves to take any expansion within the system, and thirdly is also a feed tank to the system.
