Mend GE JVM1640WB Microwave Handle

How do I replace the door handle on the ge spacesaver microwave jvm160?

The current doorhandle broke at the bottom. I need to remove it and replace with new one. Model # is JVM1640WB

I fixed mine w/ gorilla glue. I cleaned the area first w/ alcohol.

Use a putty knife to pop off the inner trim. There are small plastic tabs on the trim that hook under the central glass assembly. I would start on the bottom, which is more flexible. You do not need to remove all of the trim. Just get the left corner up.

The second screw is in the lower left corner, behind the trim.

We have the same model microwave with the same problem. The repair man wants $80.00 just to come to the house. Did you get any information on how to replace the handle yourself? If so can you provide it to me?
