Mend Hotpoint 900 Brushes Washing Machine

what tool to remove brushes washing machine?

I keep (3 times) having to pay £80 for a man to change the brushes on my washer( hotpoint 900) it takes him 1/2 min to do it and 6 mins from start to finish!! i have tried to remove the brushes myself and the will not budge :(
where can i get that little tool he keeps using to do it! i really can not afford to call him out again.. trying looking online but dont no the name of it....thanks for anyone that helps

a short stumpy flat screwdriver or stiff piece of wire that you push up the side of the brush box to make the plastic barb CLEAR THE HOUSING THIS ALLOWS THE BRUSH TO BE REMOVED disconnect the wire connection to the brushes.
