Two problems with Tecnik integral dishwasher TKD 795/2 probably at least 15 years old.

Trying to "mend" the cleaner dispenser opening spring which has broken in half, how do we get the whole unit out or can we just order new spring? If so, where from?

We have found a white plastic cog about 2cm in diameter x 1cm on the floor under our dishwasher. Any ideas where this can have come from?
