How can i fix my Philips DVP3340v?

Ok so here we go. like i have this huge ass black box on my screen. that just started last night. its not the tv, cuz every cable channal works like normal. so its the dvd player im pretty sure.

So the box is pure black and about half the size of my tv screen, its dosnt move or anything. and if i go into my menu screen, it gose away for like 30 sec, and then its back, WHAT U THINK THE PROB IS?
