After bleeding the radiators, the pressure went too low and boiler cut out. Pressure valve was then opened but now the pressure it too high! How can we get the pressure back down to normal?

Bleed the radiators again, but be patient - you may have to remove a considerable amount of water - a few pints or so. Stick with it - the pressure will come down, and its best if the heating is switched off for this.
