worcester 24i junior boiler lpg, unsteady pressure problem?

get yourself a car foot pump and with the boiler switched off drop the pressure to zero using the red saftey release valve then find the valve on the expansion vessel and attach foot pump and pump pressure up to one bar on foot pump gauge best done when boiler has not been running and is cold should cure problem unless vessel valve leaking .

The pressure in my boiler is gone down to 1. When I turn on the hot water it sometimes only stays on for few mins and sometimes does not get hot at all. I was told the pressure needs to be at 1.5. How do I fix the pressure? There are 2 knobs that look the same and I dont know which one to turn. Thanks.

i do not have pressure in my boiler,it is just showing a blinking red light,my hot water and heater is not working.what do i do?

sounds like flat or faulty expansion vessel. they have rubber diaphragm seperating air section from water. if that holes etc water will replace air filling the tank and therefore leaving less room for expansion when heating on.

eg cold pressure 1.5 bar----hot 3 bar + then leak from p r pipe and settle when cold to 1.5 bar or less. this is why you have pressure loss too.

thats my opinion without witnessing. if the boiler is located out the way somewhere not seen. fitting remote vessel rather than replacing boiler one generally cheaper repair
