removal of sump on ford escort 1.8 turbo diesel van?

i have recently put an engine in my van to change my sump i had to drop the gearbox take clutch out remove fly wheel and i believe there were3 bolts to hold sump in place as well as the ones underneath the sump this was on an escort 55 none turbo

No chance unfortunately, I had 4 bolts inside the gearbox on mine! Plus when doing the sump back up be very careful, i overtightened one of the bolts causing the corner of the sump pan to crack and fall off!
Be very careful as its Aluminium in most cases and won't bend, plus i only tightened by hand but obviously a little too much. It doesn't take much to crack the sump pan!

i could not when i did mine,as there are two bolts inside the gearbox
