Just bought 1998 2.1 non HDI 406. All's fine except intermitent clicking noise behind dash. Noise only happens with ignition on and or engine running. Clicking is just like flasher relay noise but much faster like a fluttering noise. The flashers do not flash when noise happens. Any ideas please?
hi. the exact same thing has started to happen to my 2.1td 406. first off it did it afew times a week now its happening everytime you use the indicator. i think the problem is the indicator stalk and the switch inside the steering column. i think the switch must have worn out somehow and there is a permanent contact made. don't think it would cost alot to get this fixed as long as you don't go to the main dealer.
