Mend Ford Escort Van Start

1.8 preg deisal escort van?

when i try and start my van its flat as a pancake and no turnover,just clicking is it the starter moter or d alternator.i have had the battery tested and its ok.i have jumped started it and got going and drives good. but when i turn of it wont start it will b flat and only clicking no turnover.

when you say flat-do you mean no electrics at all, or is your ignition ok, do your lights work ok, have you checked engine earth lead on to gearbox bolt for good connection? check this bolt for tightness to make sure lead is clamped,if wrong bolt has been put in it might be loose!good idea to check all battery leads as well
