HOW CAN I REPAIR MY STEAM IRON?

HEY,
MY ROWENTA DM860 STOPS HEATING UP, THEN IT WILL HEAT UP,,THE WIRE INTO THE HANDLE SEEMS TO BE AN AUTO ON OFF MECHANISM,, I THINK THIS IS SHOT,,,, IT ALSO MIGHT BE THE TERMOSTAT??? NOT CERTAIN,, PLEASE ADVISE?
