how can i fix my electrolux lyric?

i have an electrolux lyric gas cooker i push and hold the front dial and press the ignition switch to light gsa ring but when i let go off the dial the gas goes out

with out having the full details of this cooker,it sounds as though this type may have a thermocouple at the burner this holds the constant flame to burner.laymans terms if you know what i mean.if this is damaged your flame will not light
