Mend Grohe Flush Mechanism

Grohe toilets?

We have a Grohe 'push button' toilet. It's based on air pressure inside a tube that connects the button you push - and the mechanism it depresses to release the water from the system.

There's no air pressure left - so the whole thing won't flush. We've taken a look inside and there appears to be a tiny 'squeeze box/concertina' plastic mechanism not working...

But what to do ?
