mend my renault laguna starter motor?

my renault laguna 02 late sometimes starts and then doesn't other time any ideas, just changed the battery.

do you hear an audible click when you try to start car? This will be the solenoid which sits ontop of the starter motor and acts as a switch. Maybe the motor has become stuck, sometimes tapping it carefully with a hammer will free it up, if none of this works it's probably best to change it . Getting at the Renault Laguna starter motor to remove it is not an easy job as it is tucked away behind the engine, but there are not many bolts holding it in and the new unit goes straight in and just needs connecting exactly as the old one was connected , disconnect battery before you start , good luck :)
