brake hydraulic unit renault laguna sports tourer 51 plate?

My car is at the garage and they have said that the problem is the abs hydraulic unit that supplies the brake fluid to all the brakes calipers. the problem is that the drivers passenger side rear brake the fluid is not coming out, they showed me by undoing
each line (fluid pipe) from the unit and all bled when pressure was put on the brake except the drivers rear brake caliper, no fluid it was dryf rom the hydraulic unit On this basis do I need to buy a new hydraulic unit?
If I do does it have to be programmed?
The garage wants me to scrap the car because it is expensive to repair , I have been in contact with a company who have said that they can recondition it if you send it to us,
Can anybody help me.

Can you tell me if the abs hydraulic pump is the same as the abs hydraulic unit this is located behind passenger side front wing
are they the same unit.
The caliper is ok
all the other brakes ok
passenger rear brake new caliper fitted traced the fluid line back to the abs hydraulic unit disconnected the pipe no fluid coming out dry
if replaced does it have to be computer configured to the car

please ask them at the garage to make sure that the brake caliper is not at fault , and that they have checked the brake pipes , to make sure that they vare not damaged,also need to check that the fluid is or is not coming out of the abs hydraulic pump and if they say it needs a abs pump the cost is around £1000 plus and you will need to have the new abs computer configured to your vehicle ,you might end up going to a renault garage for the configuration to be carried out.
