my washer wont spin?

I am wondering what is wrong when the washer wont go into the sin cycle? what do I look for first in a attemp to repair it?

I had this problem with a Hoover wdm 120, it would wash, and dry, but wouldn't spin. I went through the all the options, motor, motor brushes, clogged pump and pipes, I was at a loss. Finally I spoke to someone who was positive with their answer, "it's the module." I picked up a second-hand one off him for £25 and bingo, the machine spun.

Does you hear any noise when it's supposed to go into the spin cyle?

if it washes ok then the motor and belt r ok so its either the pump or the controler. check it empties ok, is there a blockage is the pump working. if it is emptying ok its probably the control switch.
