t reg fiesta dash light on?

i have a t reg, ford fiesta, 1.25litre, and one ov the dash lights comes on when i am driving, it is usaully when im braking n sometimes just when im driving, the dash symbol is (!), could anyone help me, and tell me what this means? and also what it could be. thanks
