how to clean the filter area on a zanussi jetsystem 1200 it smells in there?

please can you tell me how o clean out the filter area on a zanussi jetsystem 1200 it smells in there i have taken the filter out and cleaned it many times but he place it goes back ino looks and smells horrible

weve cleaned this filter ,done a maintenace wash ,a descale wash and cleaned in between the rubber seal on the door and still we get a stagnant water smell

there is no easy way to clean inside these.they do block up and can cause machines to overfill and flood.with way you have described it may be safest to replace filter housing (manifold).boil washing is also a good way to clean and kill odours but may not clean manifold
