how can i fix my tv?

how can i fix the brightnexx on my zenith tv?the color is fine and the brightness is set as hgih as it can go but it is still very dark. SOMEONE HELP PLZ. ASAP

If there's a picture but it's just too dark then it's probably either a dead spot on the screen control (line output transformer) or faulty HV capacitor to tube grid. Could be very cheap (probably) or very expensive (possibly), will need an engineer to confirm & fix it.
