snowboard help tail?

My board has a small separation on the tail. The top layer came apart from the metal edge layer. its only about an inch wide and long so im thinking i can fix it myself with some super glue. I can see the wood core a little bit. i just thought id ask before i tried anything.....

Ah, basically your board is starting to delaminate...bit of a problem that! in some cases, the manufacturer may in fact replace your board, in most they will class it as not using the board in the anticipated manner. But its always worth a go! If its a dry-slope board or something your can't be bothered to/afford to replace or get professionally repaired then go for the DIY fix. Superglue will not be able to cope, your best bet would be a resin like araldite, pack it full and clamp it down while it sets. You may want to look at getting those 'end protector' things too (basically a cap which is fitted to the ends of your board). Yes they look crap but they will offer protection and help prevent delamination.
