How can I fix my flute?

I just got a flute, and it sometimes wont play D,E, or F....if I adjust my mouth for better air stream it plays, but if i try and play a fast piece of music, it either squeaks or just sounds like air going through my flute, I have checked the rods all seem to be in place, but I dont know what else to check?

It sounds like a rod may have come loose somewhere. Make sure all the rods are screwed back in tight with a small screwdriver. It's a little difficult to describe without having a flute to demonstrate on. If you look at all the keys, they are in groups. If you look at the end of each line, there is a rod screwed into the metal and the rods often come loose and need to be screwed back in. Like I said, it's very hard to describe. I hope this helps.
