C key stays down?

The foot end is separate, and simlper to deal with, therefore, it will be most commonly a spring that needs to be dealt with. Simply check and see it has come adrift and with perhaps a jewllers' screwdriver you can relocate it into position, spring it back don't bend it!. Beyond that unless your are confident, take it to a repairer. Tip: I always keep a jewellers' screwdriver in my flute case!!
