(1) De-pressurize the fuel system by removing the fuse for the fuel pump. Then start engine as normal using ignition key and let it cut out due to fuel starvation. Try to start engine once or twice more. Engine should not start and fuel system is de-pressurized.
(2) Remove rear seat - to gain access to top of fuel tank.
(3) Disconnect electrical connectors etc to fuel sender unit and unscrew large black plastic retaining ring - might need something like a channel lock pliers for this.
(4) Remove sender unit.
(5) Siphon out petrol from tank. Fuel pump is at an angle in a plastic carrier held by clips. Disconnect tubing etc, install new pump and put everything back in reverse order.
(6) Replace fuse into fuseholder.
