I think on the hideaway the gas valve plugs into the thermostat? check this plug, if you are able, check for 240v at the gv, if it is there then it is most likely your gas valve

yes done both. pump working, pushing water around but boiler not firing up

Check the obvious first, is the thermostat on the boiler turned up? have you reset the gas valve knob back to the operation position after re-lighting the pilot?
