How can i repair my Olympus u700 digital camera?

My u 700 only shows a white screen when turned on

i have same problem and i cant fix that
im take off the battery and memory out cuple days and when open again is say the same problem ,what i can i do to fix that?

I'hv a digital camera u700, Olympus.When i press the power button in shooting mode, the lens comes out irregularly, sometimes it stops from being coming out, in the LCD screen some blurred image appears, then the lens retracted and a message appears in the LCD screen as: D: 5 e 02. Please give me suggestion......

oh i forgot to say that if you dont have warranty any more then dont bother getting it repaird because it costs €200 euros - around $250 which is way more then new camera.

this problem is common for Olympus u700. I had it too.

You can take your camera to nearest technical repair shop
or try one of these methods:
* hold OK button while powering up
* power up in SCN mode and when lens comes out just pull it out till the end with force. Dont worry you wont brake it, just pull it out agressivly.
* power up camera in preview mode (play like icon) and push the lans back. this can be done by placing camera with lens down on the table and push the camera down against the table while powering up. Be careful as in this method you can actually brake it. DONT push with too much force. Just enoght so that the lens doesnt come out.
