GE DECT 6.0 model 28111 don't ring?

I won a GE DECT 6.0 GHz cordless fone model 28111 and when recept a call it don't ring, just turnes on the light.

I had the same problem. There is a button on the base that says do not disturb. If there is a musical note whith a line through it on your handset, hit the do not disturbe button on the base and it'll work fine.

The manual says you have the Do not disturb (DND) on...
While you are in standby, press the DND button (to switch on or off)....
Seems simple but....that is all I could find...
