Mend TomTom Screen Light Noise

how do i fix my tomtom?

since i was charging tomtom using universal charger and accidently let 12v instead of 5v and it made some cracking noise the green light turned on and since then it makes the same noise and nothing comes on the screen the green light comes on though please advise

As far as Iknow you might have overloaded the battery. You might be able to send it back to TomTom and get them to check it out for you. But there is a chance you have fried the whole unit!
