Mend Kenmore 80 Washer Spin

Kenmore 80 washer will not spin OR agitate but the motor/gears are grinding?

It sounds like the "gears" are trying to make a connection but won't engage. It will not agitate nor spin but water flows in and out as it should.

It sounds like it could be the motor coupler that fits between the motor and the tranmission. It is a 3 piece part that rides on both shafts.
