Mend Ford Cd Zetec

02 Ford Focus, 6 cd player possible cd jammed inside. What can I do?

I have just purchased an 02 Ford Focus Zetec 2.0i, with built in 6 cd player. When I push Load to put in cd it says CD error E3. It says it has No Disc in it, but when I try to put a CD in it feels like something is blocking it. Any ideas? The car came with no handbook, so I'm stuck!! Also, any idea how I get the keycode for it? Thanks

Hurray, Rob's technique of hitting the CD player hard really worked!! It has been broken for a month because we can't afford to replace or fix it, so I tried this method in slightly doubtful desperation. I pressed ' load all' just as Rob suggested, then hit hard on both sides of the hazard button and gradually it began to recognise all six CDs again. So happy!!

I too had the same problem and Rob's solution worked for me. I pounded the hell out of the player and it spit out the stuck CD and is working fine. Go figure! Thanks Rob

I tried Robs solution on my car but it did not seem to work. Has anyone any other good ideas that might fix it?

I got a CD stuck in my EON 6006 for no obvious reason. I had just loaded one which played OK and was about to load another when it went haywire. Any attempt to eject, play or load another CD resulted in dodgy whirring noises and an ERROR CODE 3 message. I was resigned to removing the unit and pulling it apart when I read the message from Rob suggesting hitting it in 2 places while it attempts to load all. This worked first time, ejecting all the CDs and it's working fine now. Thanks mate!

Ive had this problem and it was a jammed cd.
Fixed now and loads 6 cd's.
Resulted in hitting it but it worked.
If you either mute the volume or turn it down you hear it trying to load something and a bit of clicking noises.
Hold the "load" button down till it says "load all" while it tries to load, hit it just above the cd slot, on either side of the hazard button, the shock may jump the "jammed cd" into place.
If so it will say "insert cd", have 6 cds ready to load.
Put the cds in when it tells you to, and where there might be a jammed cd, it will skip telling you to insert one and then loads the jammed cd into the space, then run through the cds to see if they play.
Then after checking that, hold down the eject button till it says eject all, then you should have 6 cds and one might not be what you inserted in, thus being the "jammed cd" this has fixed the problem for my cd player.
But resulting to violence to fix things doesnt always work, but it did this time.
I hope this way slightly helps you with fixing it.
