Mend Dyson DC14 Loud Noise

HOW CAN I FIX DYSON DC14,?

BRUSH WONT MOVE, LOUD RATCHETING NOISE, EXCEPT IN UPRIGHT POSITION, NO ODOR.

The problem can be hair/dust inside the endcaps of the brush bar. I fixed mine by removing the brush bar - pulling off the end caps and cleaning out the hair. I took the brush bar out following the belt changing instructions, but you might be able to avoid that.
