Leaking pvc door?

Wind-driven rain is somehow getting through my pvc door although the seal seems fine. The seating at the bottom of the door fills up with water which then leaks onto the floor behind it. (a) Should water drain out of the seating if it fills? - I can see two small slits in it which suggests it should. Maybe it's blocked. (b) However, the seal around the frame seems ok, so I can't figure how it gets in there in the first place. Your advices would be greatly appreciated.

Hi I have a leaking back pvc door. had new seal fitted as he as all torn. But can't see where the rain is coming in. it depends on the type of rain, mostly driving rain. But read above, and don't know what or where the seating or drain caps are or what they look like.
Anyone able to explain in detail. there is a pvc bar across the door right at the end is that the seating?

Many thanks Elaine

I would like to thank Shaun and John for the information they have provided re: draining my pvc door. I suspected that the water should drain away and now this has been confirmed. The holes are probably blocked and need clearing. I'm not sure what 'face drain caps' are but I shall enquire about them. Many thanks.

the 2 slits you see should have 2 slits the same underneath to allow water to drain out of your door frame profile, check this by pouring water into these slits and look at bottom of your frame on the outside,if the water dosnt come out I'd recomend you get some face drain caps from a window company in your area and face drain your frame,if you dont think you can do this yourself ask a freind or family member who works in window trade,if you dont know anyone phone some double glazing repair companies in your area and ask how much they would charge.Hope this helps

Your PVC door should have drain holes on the bottom of the frame (the threshold) and these are designed to drain to the outside. Sometimes the outlets get blocked with dirt or sealant. Some doors also have adjustable hinges which allow you to drop the door a fraction in the frame - but obviously I don't know if this applies to yours!
