Mend Light Suddenly Working Switch

STRIP LIGHT MALFUNCTION?

MY FLOURECENT LIGHT HAS SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING. I CHANGED THE ON/OFF SWITCH AS THIS WAS OLD BUT NO JOY. ALSO I LOOKED AT THE LIGHT FITTING ITSELF TO SEE IF ANYTHING OBVIOUS BUT STILL NOTHING. THE STRIP LIGHT IS AN OLD RECYCLED ONE THE PREVIOUS OWNER INSTALLED SO NO SIGN OF FUSES. CAN ANYONE ADVISE WHAT MIGHT BE THE PROBLEM ?

Have you changed the starter motor,it will probably stick out of the side of the body,it is round and about the diameter of a 10pence piece,just twist it and pull it out,it may even work if you just fiddle it a bit.
