howm can i fix the rope on my lawnmower starter?

the rope on my crafstman 21 in mower broke - i'm not sure how to take the cover off to re-tie the rope.

Take off the top cover. Usually four bolts. Wind starter spring then feed new cord through. Tie square not and release coil spring so rope winds.
