My triton T80si electric shower fluctuates between hot and cold?

This shower has two thermal cut out switches, there is one at the bottom of the tank too, if that one fails then it first starts to cycle hot and cold first before failing completely. Unlike the top main TCO which if it fails or triggers turns off the entire shower, the bottom one just shuts off the elements.

I have a triton t80si. The neon light is on and electricity to is ok. However when I press the on/off button nothing is happening, can anyone help.

possible pot scaled up,this is the copper cylinder internally,spares are availliable from triton or local stockist

MY T80SI is not not running, water regualerly, water runs for 6 mintes than stops take few coughts than do than it stops for few hours, not sure whats wrong, light and heat every thing feel fine, please some one advice

hi, this is a common fault with triton showers that at one time used to appear on their web site but the last time i looked it had mysteriously disappeared. it is referred to as cycling. they recommended that 1. clean the spray head really well. 2. and this is the important bit, take the shower head off and then turn the shower on and leave it to run for not less than ten minutes on full bore. unfortunately they didn't say whether to run it hot or cold, so i do ten minutes of each, it does seem to work, for a while. It is an annoying and built in unwanted feature of triton showers, they all do it but ofcourse they don,t tell you about it when you buy one. It is all to do with the oversensitive safety feature to try and prevent over hot water from burning you. God invented feet for that, you just move out of the way !
