my rover216 si auto occaisionally will cut out when islow down to a full stop i have recently had the car serviced but it is now becoming increasingly frustrating because i cant use the car because fear of doing more damage also the car will re-start straight away once it has stalled so the imobiliser is not the problem any help would be gratefully received
check the relays in the center console for dry solder as once its hot it dosent touch and make ciruit because they get hot and once cooled they work fine

Could possibly be your distributor amplifier. I had a similar prob with a Rover 216 GSI (Honda engine). Eventually the car wouldn't start at all. Fortunately I was in the RAC, the guy fitted a new distributor amplifier, cost me around £60 all in.
