Mend Rover 216 Drive Car

rover 216 auto gearbox issues 96??

Hi when i drive off from rest, the car makes a low whirring noise and as the gears change up the noise gets quieter. what can I do other than changing the box?

Changing the oil and filter as in the other posts is NOT going to fix this noise. It is most likely to be the primary bearing. It is doable without pulling out the box. For auto specialist near you www.fedauto.co.uk
