It powers on fine. You put a disc in and the little Dvd icon in the corner says read. It spins at varying speeds, sometimes normal, then really fast, then slow. After awhile it will says no disc or bad disc. It doesn't matter what disc you try an old or a brand new one. What can can I do to make it work? It was bought 4/2004. Thanks
try cleaning the lens by isopropane type wet cd lens cleaner.if the lens is damaged replace the lens.for exact diagnosis consult an electronic repair shop near you
