how can i fix my car sterio cdr 500,astra 2001 1600,16v?
after fitting a new battery i needed to put my code in the sterio,which i did after 3 attempts realised i was putting in the wrong code.drove home got correct code,went to enter.pressed (as)turned radio on,all that comes up is 7safe i cant get on the bit where i put the code in.in the manual it mentions a "waiting time" which i dont know what this is.does anyone know how to resolve this,thanks.
what it means by time is when you put ignition on and hold as and turn on stereo when it bleeps loose off it will display 7 safe it must now be left on until it unlock which will take about 10 minutes but you must leave ignition on and stereo or it will reset and start time again. every time a wrong code is entered it will count down from 7 safe to 6 safe and so on but the waiting time gets longer and longer.
