You need to unbolt the caliper (2 bolts) and swing it out of the way. This will expose the old pads which you can prise out. Don't let the caliper hang on its brake pipe though - tie it up out of the way. You'll need to press in the 4 pistons in the caliper to allow the new pads to go in though.
