How can i fix my Hotpoint W340 as it won't fill up?

Standpipe to low, or drainpipe pushed to far into standpipe raise the height of the pipe,stand pipes vary in height from 20" to 30" MAX if two low a constant siphon starts i e machine will NEVER FILL AS THE WATER IS GOING STRAIGHT DOWN THE DRAIN. Drain hose should HOOK into top of stand pipe only.This causes a air gap to prevent the siphoning action if BOTHERED about pipe coming OUT tape to the standpipe with strong tape.(Tip) check on the rear of machine for a height line usually RED this is max height your machine will fill up to onto this add 6" to 8" this is your AIR GAP you now have the minimum height of your standpipe
