Why can't I top up my Ariston EuroCombi boiler?

I have an Ariston EuroCombi boiler and the water should be fed into it until the needle in the gauge is in the Blue section. This used to be an easy operation but now, when I open the filling valves, no water flows into the boiler. The water pressure from the mains just forces off the plastic filling tube. What can I do to overcome this problem?

Hi Trevor,
It sounds like your "loop pipe" is duff. Replace. There's an article on topping-up on Utimate Handyman site:
