HOW DO I FIX MY GOODMANS LCD TV?

THERE IS NO POWER AND NO LIGHTS AT ALL COME ON WHEN I TURN THE APPLIANCE ON, I HAVE CHECKED THE FUSE.
IT IS A GOODMANS 26" LCD MODEL LD2650HD

I think it is likely to be an internal failure of the Power Supply Board.
My father has the same TV (bought Aug 06) and the same thing has happened (no lights or response and mains socket and plug fuse are OK).
I have an engineer coming out from Comet next week.
