get tv out of standby with no remote?

Hi,we have got a 15ich bush flat screen tv,but for some reason its got stuck on standby...neither the buttons on the remote or on the tv will turn the tv on. I am connected to virgin but the virgin remote dose not work the tv or the sound,only the tv remote works for that...but not even the the original tv remote will turn it on....has any1 got any ideas??...plz let me know.

my bush tv will not came off stand by how can i get my tv to work again as we have trouble getting back on every day or how much would it cost to get one of you out to look at it for me as i am 70 years old i can not pay a lot

Try pressing channel up or down after red light is on.Turn off by pressing on/off switch.
