Hi to replace starter rope is fairly easy. You only need to wind the pulley clock wise about 5 turns with the pulley still fitted to the machine. It will be a bit hard because you are turning over the machine as well.Once you have the pulley lined up with the eyelet, tie a knot on one end and thread the rope thru.If you need to change the spring as well, its a bit more to it.You need to take the starter of the machine put the 3/4 nut in a vise the other end has a two sided bolt, grab a adjustable spanner and undo it (it is right hand thread). Then take the pulley off, replace spring if needed. Some times the spring has come out of its locking position. When you put it back together replace the o ring on the starter .Most times the spring is ok and you dont even need to take the starter off, best of luck jason
