How can I mend a broken leg on my metal victorian style garden chair?
It appears to have fallen over and metal fatigue has set in at the top just below where the rusty bolt attaches it to the seat. It is made of a non-rust type of metal and painted blacky-green old style. It doesn't look weld-able...
If the metal shows no rust at all, the chances are its made from an aluminium alloy. Although it is possible to weld aluminium, it really needs a specialist to do this. There isn't any adhesive good enough for this application, unfortunately.
